Press cancel key. If alarm persists, isolate the touch pad from the clock. If failure returns issue is the clock. If failure does not return, issue is with touch pad

Temperature runaway

Ohm sensor and check wiring. Verify oven will complete a clean cycle without failure

F3

Shorted sensor

Ohm sensor, sensor wires and inspect sensor for damage

F4

Open oven sensor

Ohm sensor, sensor wires and inspect sensor for damage

EEPROM failure

Repair Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Clean circuit

Check door switches and the wiring to the switches

Oven temp sensed; over 600F sensed by control in time of day mode, bake mode, or over 900F sensed in clean mode.

Ohm test the oven temperature sensor, if OK, change power relay board

F3

Cooling fan on with no oven function selected

Check oven temperature sensor or wire harness to oven temperature sensor

Shorted oven temperature sensor

Check oven temperature sensor or wire harness to oven temperature sensor

F5

Power to element relays disabled in cook mode

  1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or,

  2. Intermittent contact on power relay board

Shorted key sensed for 32 seconds

  1. Membrane shorted, or

  2. Display board defective

Each fault code consists of four (4) digits. The function of each digit is described in Table 1 below.

4D21 No/low cooling fan rotation (no RPM)……………………….(single cavity or upper oven) Check connection at cooling fan. If ok, replace blower. DO NOT REPLACE ELECTRONIC RANGE CONTROL (ERC).
