Fault Code

Condition/Description

Resolution

F0 & F1

EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure

Repair EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F2

Oven too hot

Likely a bad oven temperature sensor (should read 1100 ohms) Possible bad EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F3

Oven temperature sensor open

Replace oven temperature sensor

F4

Oven temperature sensor shorted

Replace oven temperature sensor

F5 or F6 or F7

Repair EOC(Electronic Oven Control)

Fault Codes Version 4

Fault Code

Condition/Description

Resolution

F1

Circuit board defective

Repair control board

F2

The oven temperature has risen above 665F and the door is not locked

The oven temperature has risen above 965F with the door locked

Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Repair EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits

Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary

F3

Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms)

Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control

F4

Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms)

Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control

F5

Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure

Repair EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F6

Shorted buttons

Check push buttons and dome switches on touch pad

F8

Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence)

Check door lock switches and wiring

F10

Control has sensed a runaway temperature condition. Control may have a shorted relay or temperature sensor probe may be bad.

Check temperature sensor probe and replace if necessary. If the oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace the ERC

F11

Shorted keypad: a key has been detected as pressed (for a long period) alarm will terminate all cooking activity

Press clear key. If the fault returns, replace the keyboard.  If the problem persists, repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F12

Bad micro identification

Press clear key. If the fault returns, replace the keyboard.  If the problem persists, repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F13

Bad EEPROM identification/checksum error

Press clear key. If the fault returns, replace the keyboard.  If the problem persists, repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F15

Controller self-check failed

Repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F20

Control has detected a problem with the communications link

Test harness connections P4 on the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and P11 ESEC (Surface Element Control Board). If harness is OK then the failure can be caused by a faulty UIB (User Interface Board), ESEC (Surface Element Control Board) or EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F30

Open temperature sensor probe or wiring problem

Check temperature sensor probe and replace if necessary. If the problem persists, repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F31

Shorted temperature sensor probe or wiring problem

Check temperature sensor probe and replace if necessary. If the problem persists, repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

F62

Missing zero-cross signal

Repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)

Maximum oven door unlock time exceeded.

Maximum oven door unlock attempts exceeded

Maximum oven door open time exceeded

Maximum oven door lock time exceeded

Maximum oven door lock attempts exceeded

(F90,91,92,93,94)

Check the temperature sensor

Check the wiring between the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and the lock motor micro switch

Check to see if lock motor coil or the micro switch is open. If open replace the lock motor assembly

Check for binding of the latch cam, lock motor rod and lock motor cam

(F92,93,94)

Check to see if oven door light switch is open. If it is replace switch

F95

Door motor mechanism failure. The motor does not stop rotating

Check door lock switches and wiring. If they all work than repair the EOC (Electronic Oven Control)
